The tickets go on sale tomorrow and are over $200 for the pair. I just can't justify spending that kinda cash on a couple of hours in the terrace at a university to hear her sing.

I'm sure I'm just opening myself up for some CRAZY FUCKED UP answers but I need to find out if anyone can tell me what the hell "Cleaning your kitchen" means (sexually)? Jacs has been sayin this to me for weeks and REFUSES to tell me what it is. I've asked almost everyone I know and got nada.

HELP!!!

So..I went to the boob doc on Monday and they did an ultrasound of the lump. It's a "multilockular cyst". Umm...I think that means it's a lot of little cysts inside one cyst. BUT they are all fluid filled so nothin to really worry about. I could have 'em drained but until they give me pain and problems (other than freakin me out when I touch 'em), no thanks! We watch 'em now and if they get a) bigger, b) painful or c) harder, I go back immediately. Do not pass Go, do not collect any fake cash.

I was supposed to have Monday thru today off work. Yeah, ok...and hell is a tropical place! I NEVER get 3 days off in a row (except last week). One of the other nurses called me yesterday morning at 5am and said "are you still in bed?" Umm...yeah. It's my day off and I don't make it a habit to get up at 5am on those days. Call me weird! She asked if I'd go work. I said no. I hung up. I tried to go back to sleep. Five minutes later, I called her back and said "you owe me. I'll be there as soon as I get showered and caffeinated". The decision was based on a few things...1) It's OT for me; 2) I'd see Jackie for part of the day; and 3) I couldn't do that to my residents cuz I know no one else would go in and there would be one nurse for 40 residents. Damn morals and values!!

Speakin of Jackie...umm...very little progress has been made there. She did take her rings off and is sleeping on the couch now. (Or so she says) Supposedly they are talking some day this week about a financial plan to dissolve this r/ship. *shrug* I dunno. Someone asked me the other day why I do this to myself. Why I put myself thru this emotional turmoil (which isn't really bad most days). My only answer was...I just don't wanna fuck up yet another relationship. I'm really good at bailing when things get tough (ask Jessy or Shannon or Tammy (any of 'em)). It's what I've always done. If someone else can't readily fix whats wrong, I walk. It's easy. My r/ship with Jessy was the ONLY r/ship I've never walked away from without first fighting for it. The fighting didn't work and we split up anyway. But I TRIED to make it work and didn't just bail at the first sign of trouble. YAY me! This r/ship...um...I dunno. I can't explain it. I can't rationalize it. I can't even understand it.

--I don't think I had any "growing up" but as a teenager and adult, the most influential women in my life have been...
~My Aunt Peggy...she's the one who inspired me to become a nurse. She's been a NICU nurse for 25+ years.
~My first stepmother...she taught me how to eat like a lady, speak using proper English (she was a University English professor), and how to shave my legs
~My friends (Donna, Jacs, Jules)...these women have made such amazing impacts on my life by teaching me that it's TRULY a blessing to be myself and allow the world to experience the amazing woman I am


2. Who are the influential women in your life now?
--as crazy as this sounds, I really don't think I have many...maybe just one...Jacs. She influences me daily...sometimes good...sometimes evil. lol (ha ha ha, Jackie!)

3. How would you describe the status of women where you live, compared to the rest of the world?
--oh wow! I grew up in Saudi Arabia and saw the women reppressed for years! And while women in the US have far more freedom than other countries, I think women here in the Midwest are still repressed and treated as 2nd class citizens.

4. What is the single thing that would most improve the status of women where you live?
--education

5. I can't think of a fifth question on this topic, so the fifth question is: make up a question about women and women's rights and answer it.
--Why are women of power treated with disrespect...even by other women? I don't have an answer for this other than to say, maybe the ones who can't show respect are scared of allowing it.
